ABOUT DUBROVNIK

Dubrovnik, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Adriatic", is a breathtaking coastal city in the south of Croatia, along the Dalmatian coast. Its location on the Dalmatian coast gives it access to stunning coastal landscape of rugged cliffs, hidden coves and clear blue waters. The city itself is nestled between the sea and steep limestone cliffs, creating a dramatic backdrop.  Known for its well-preserved medieval walls, picturesque Old Town, and breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik is a popular tourist destination. Surrounded by the Old City walls and towers, the Old Town is Dubrovnik's main attraction.

Thanks to its great historical significance, it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within the walls of Dubrovnik's Old Town you can admire many charming streets and corners, historic buildings, cathedrals, hotels, restaurants and stores. Throughout its history, Dubrovnik has always been a meeting point of different nations, cultures and religions, serving as a link between different and sometimes warring empires and civilizations. Despite its small size, Dubrovnik has managed to maintain its autonomy and economic prosperity throughout the centuries, thanks to the strategic use of diplomacy, skillful trade and sophisticated seamanship. Proof of this is the extensive cultural and historical heritage that has earned Dubrovnik the status of a world-renowned brand. Today, this power of historical heritage can be felt in every corner of this beautiful city and serves as a perfect backdrop for numerous cultural, professional and scientific events.

The college offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various disciplines, including humanities, social and natural sciences, engineering and marine science.

Notable faculties at the University of Dubrovnik include the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Maritime Studies.
